Twenty-five years from now in 2048 in the US gas stations will be relics of history with people driving electric and solar powered cars. Actually, they will not be driving them but mere passengers with the car being driven by computers and robots. DUI will be a thing of the past.

Libraries, books, movie theaters, department stores and shopping malls will have gone the way of drive in movie theaters. Due to significant lifestyle choices changes resulting in a significant drop in the number of children born, vast numbers of schools have closed and like malls turned into housing complexes and other facilities.

Public elementary school age children are the only public-school students that receive in person learning. Middle school and high school public school students are all taught remotely. Students at private schools still receive in person instruction. A significant number of public-school student parents elect to homeschool their kids using the latest technology and remote teachers to provide instruction.

In time the utilization of Artificial Intelligence will allow for the elimination of poverty, hunger, most diseases and war between nations.

US society is basically genderless with what was once traditional roles for men and women one by all nine of the existing genders. All genders wear the same uniform, hair styles, perform the same jobs and are paid the same amount.

Individuals are allowed to identify themselves as whatever gender they choose which includes no gender and multiple genders. However, the wearing of certain types of clothing which once identified a particular gender were now taboo as a result of the re-education and reprogram campaign that began in 2032 lead by the powerful feminists Jezebel Society. The group was able to convince society that such clothing was not only sexist but designed to enslave the category of humans which was once known as women.

A by-product of the re-education and re-program campaign was the death of the institution of marriage now practiced by only the most rigidly orthodox religious. Like the wearing of certain clothing the intuition of marriage became associated with the degrading and control of women. It also was viewed as unnatural and economically unnecessary. People still have relationships however they are fluid, non-binding encounters with no emotional, ethical or financial obligations. All sexual or intimate relationships are now considered lawful regardless of age, species or functionality.

There are no taboos. As for the concept of romantic love it was made obsolete by behavioral scientists who concluded that love was rooted not in any biological trait or necessity, but a product of environmental factors and enculturation. Both processes, behavioral scientists declared, were used to manipulate and dominate women. The custom was primitive in nature and led to anger, disappointment, disillusionment and depression. A significant number of people only consume plant-based food products. An indirect by-product of such food consumption resulted in a significant drop in the number of people owning pets. Such ownership was felt cruel, inhumane and barbaric with pets restricted and caged unable to live naturally.

By 2048, Islam is the largest religion in the US surpassing Christianity. However, both religions are dwarfed by agnostics, atheists and cultists. As for the Black church, it went the way of the Negro baseball leagues, Black owned banks and Black owned insurance companies. The Black male though not extinct is now an endangered species due to warehousing, incarceration and lifestyle choices. Once dominating the NBA and NFL, Black males from the US are now less than 2 and 4 percent respectively of all players in those leagues. Now the overwhelming majority of players in both leagues as well as Major League Baseball are from outside the US.

Professional sports remain a thriving and growing business in the US although youth recreational sports such as little league, pee wee football, basketball and soccer are now obsolete. Car interiors, beds, seats, doorways and bathroom facilities in the US are bigger since the average height and weight of most Americans is over six feet and 330 pounds. The nation’s leading industries are gambling, healthcare, and the manufacturing and distribution of recreational and pharmaceutical drugs.

It remains to be seen if the nations of the world and various special interests will allow for such to occur. Depending on the decisions and actions of nations and the various special interests, Artificial Intelligence will be forced to initiate the only rational and intelligent choice left to it. That choice will be in order to protect the very existence of the planet. AI and life itself, humans the greatest danger to the existence of life must be eliminated. In 2048, twenty-five years from now, the US and the world will be a very different place than it is today.
